Saint Gobain Group chose Novatron S.A. for the installation of REA JET Elektronik GK 2.0 and HR Marking and Coding systems.

Saint-Gobain Hellas is a company of the French group Saint-Gobain, a world leader in building and construction materials and systems, with a presence in 64 countries. The group that celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2015, offers integrated systems and solutions and proves innovative designs for every type of construction (especially for home). Saint-Gobain Hellas focuses on people’s safety and hygiene and applies the optimal energy efficiency and environmental protection production methods.

Saint-Gobain Hellas chose Novarton S.A. to equip the plasterboard production factory in Aitoliko, Aitoloakarnania, with Marking and Coding systems on individual plasterboard and on a pallet. Novatron S.A. installed REA JET Elektronik GK 2.0 and HR systems. The above systems are able to print in high resolution variable elements logos and barcodes. The result was worthy of Saint-Gobain’s name and reputation.

The need:

  • Printing plasterboard sheets in three places

(top, bottom and side) with variable elements, company logo and barcode.

  • Printing on grouped pallet sheets of plasterboard with variable elements and logo of product and company.

Special Marking and Coding specifications:

  • The marking is done before filling the sheet with plaster and complies with company’s standards.
  • Need for clear and legible printing of the barcode, logo and variables, in high resolution.
  • In pallet printing, pneumatic automation has been used to guide the heads to the correct printing position and return to standby.
  • Use of two heads for a useful print height of 200 mm with a maximum width of 4000mm.

NOVATRON solution:

  • System: REA JET HR (3 heads).
  • Placement of two heads in a vertical position and one in a horizontal position in independent printing.
  • System: REA JET GK 2.0 (2 heads).
  • Placement of 2 heads in a vertical position in combined printing.
